Updated April 2020.
This blog is now is six years old. While, like many bloggers, I wrote more posts in the first two years, I’ve never let a month go by with no posts. I’m still here because I still have things to say and things I want to share. And while I have readers who are not bloggers and (and I’m glad to have them), most of the people I interact with here (in comments) are other WordPress bloggers. This is my first ( and only) blog and I knew nothing when I started, least of all that bloggers form connections with other bloggers.
I initially chose the name WriterInSoul after running several potential blog names by WordPress and, not surprisingly, finding all of them already taken (many, many, MANY people start blogs). WriterInSoul was the first one I typed in that was available, hence the name.
When I consider what I’m doing here (on WordPress) I see it as as revealing my truest self: in my essence I am a writer. That is what I mean by WriterInSoul. I have to write whether anyone sees it or not. Although seen is the preferred way.
I talk a little bit more about my writing and why I started the blog in my first ever post.
I only write what I feel like writing on the blog. And, since Day One, I never set out to teach anybody anything. When I started I thought I’d write a lot of introspective prose, and while I have and do, humor is most prevalent (I know this because WordPress shows a nice graphic or “cloud” on the right side of the main page that says so).
I hope you’ll look around and see if the blog is to your liking.
P.S. WordPress tells me that they post occasional ads on my blog, ads I can’t see (when I’m signed in) so I don’t know how weird/inappropriate/icky they might be. I am sorry but since I am
cheap frugal I won’t pony up the money to make them go away.😁
