I chose the name WriterInSoul after running a few possibilities by WordPress and not surprisingly finding all of them already taken. When I consider what I’m doing here (and by that I mean blogging on WordPress, not what I am doing in the universe, although no doubt that’ll come into play too), I believe in a sense I am revealing what I consider my truest self: in my essence I am a writer. That is what I mean by WriterInSoul. (“In my essence I am a writer” would have made an unwieldy and not particularly great or memorable blog name and to paraphrase WordPress advice: “Take heed kids! You want a name people will remember.”)
Biographically, I’m a single woman who lives in a mid-size-somewhat-urbanized city in the suburbs outside a major, large U.S. city. I’ve spent my life in the general area. That’s right, you’ll hear no tales from me about my exotic travels or international moves. My writing is generally personal and autobiographical, although my subjects meander. I am always thinking, thinking, questioning, questioning, and my posts reflect that. That, and large doses of my particular humor. (No really!) If you just want a quick snapshot of how I think and write, take a look at a few of my Short Thoughts, all 100 words or less. Want to see if I’m funny? Just go straight to the Humor category. I write a lot about People/relationships. In my first blog post I talk in more detail about my writing background and what made me start this blog.
I hope you’ll take a look around and see if it’s to your liking.
P.S. WordPress tells me that they post occasional ads on my blog just so’s you know. I am sorry but since I am cheap I won’t pony up the money to make them go away.
