Short Thought 195 (Daylight Savings Time)

My body is staging a coup. After three weeks it flatly refuses to quit Daylight Savings Time. So far as eating, sleeping, etcetera, it’s sticking with the old schedule thank you very much. Sure, my body grumbled in years past about this awkward biannual clock changing business but never put up this much resistance. Now it’s all  “Hell no, we won’t go …off Daylight Savings Time.”

🙂 I don’t have any trouble adjusting. Really it’s just an hour. However, it takes a few days for the cats to get used to a new feeding schedule. They much prefer the spring forward which moves their feeding time up. Not so excited about the fall back. I try to adjust over a few days. What I miss most are the long hours of sunshine and that’s not about the time change but the season change.

I know there are certain areas that refuse to participate but I don’t know how that works; aren’t the people either late or too early for things they attend in other areas??

I think I’m with you here, C. I am going to bed, waking up and eating meals pretty much in Daylight Savings Time. But, I’m retired and so is he…so, it doesn’t matter much. The new pup we adopted is having a rough time with it though…who knew ??

Kate was saying her cats can tell the difference because their meal time shifts. I know, it’s the sluggishness I could do without – it messes me up both times, “springing” and “falling.” I think maybe we’re set in our ways perhaps…
