Short Thought 187 (“ways”)

I don’t think it’s so bad to be “stuck in your ways” if those ways are pleasurable, inoffensive, harmless, and so on. However, that is not usually the case.

I think age brings a lot of this “stuck in their ways” business on and you’re right that it’s typically about stubbornness. On the other hand, I can see an upside to “stuck in one’s ways” if they fit certain criteria.

It goes back to our conversation a couple of weeks back. “Stuck in my ways” makes me less stressed, less bothered by other people, and more willing to have time with my family. So there are GOOD ‘SIMW” vibes and BAD “SIMW” vibes. YOU have to be the choice of which it is and which you want to break free of.

Yes, I quite agree. I was thinking that I like being stuck in some of my ways but think there has to be criteria so I came up with a few. And Tim, maybe they need regular reevaluation because a good SIMW could slide over to a bad SIMW.
