        Yes, vanbytheriver is right, fried chicken joints will have it. However, you might try a southern or Cajun restaurant if there is one in your area. You are more likely to get fresh cuts if there are local veg producers. The warmer the climate the better the chance. Oh well, okra is a god in my mouth. Make it spicy with salt, dip it in gravy with a biscuit, chase it with cold beer or ice tea. You only live for a relatively short time and fried okra is necessary, a kind of guidepost along the path.     I’m joining several others in the “okra? wtf?” comments. πŸ™‚ I was reading happily along, having made versions of popcorn for various dinners, back to a weird childhood Sunday thing with a mother who was a lousy cook. This came to a screeching halt upon reading “add okra.” ewwwww. ewwwww. And yes, I have theoretically had “good” okra, from excellent southern sources, and just, ew.
